"Pinto"
  14  y/o Bay/White Pony, 13.3 hands
$2500.00
SOLD

We have owned him for a little over 3 years and both our kids have thoroughly enjoyed riding him out on the trails, at the beach, in the arena, at play days, etc.  "Power steering" with an easy neck rein. Totally sound, great bare hooves, no scars or blemishes.  Does all the usual exceptionally well:  tie, load, haul, bathe, stall, worm, clip, farrier (I trim him myself sometimes as he is very easy).  We are pretty sure he had other types of training before we got him, like jumping and the like.  He has great form when the kids jump logs out on the trail! :)    The only reason for selling, is he is now an 'extra' horse since both my kids moved up to other mounts.  Not a horse for an in-experienced child, as he does have some 'go' to him, but no spook, buck, take-off, or anything like that.  Both my kids have ridden him bareback out on the trail all day long.  Super smooth lope you can sit all day long.  My kids really like to lope!  No barn sour or buddy sour issues.  He does think he is 'king of the herd' and can be a bully in the pasture to horses, especially ones he doesn't know.    He can be a bit pushy on the ground if he thinks  he can get away with it--my kids catch him in the pasture, halter, lead, tie up, load, etc but they know how to make him mind.   He has to be reminded of his ground manners once in a while.   Easy keeper, stays fat on less than half a scoop 2X's a day and round bale access.  Very athletic and likes to be ridden by kids or small adults.  He is ready to go on and be that perfect mount for another child!  My youngest is 7 1/2 and has been riding him since he was 5.  It has taken us awhile to convince him to move up and let us sell...my kids adore this pony and are not happy about seeing him go....but we can't justify an 'extra' mouth to feed at this time.
